National qualifier named all-region in the 60-meter hurdles and pentathlon
The College of Wooster's Daysia Hargrave is now a 10-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region performer. The Fighting Scots' national qualifier was announced as an all-region honoree in the 60-meter hurdles and pentathlon on Wednesday afternoon.
Hargrave's school-record time of 8.79 in the 60-meter hurdles from the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships was the third-fastest in the Great Lakes Region prior to the Div. III Championships. Her third-place score of 2,985 points ranked fourth within the region.
Six of Hargrave's all-region honors are from the indoor season. She is competing at the Div. III Championships in the 60-meter hurdles this week. The prelims are at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, and if she qualifies, she will compete for the national title at 3:10 p.m. on Saturday.
