WOOSTER, Ohio – Kristen Schwartz recorded her second double-double in as many games, but it wasn't enough to overcome Oberlin College's strong second half, as The College of Wooster women's basketball team was upended 71-41 in North Coast Athletic Conference action Saturday at Timken Gymnasium.

Early on, the Fighting Scots (2-11, 0-3 NCAC) appeared to have carried over their momentum from Wednesday's win, as Taylor Keegan's 3-ball and consecutive buckets by Schwartz had Wooster ahead 7-2. Following a slow stretch that put Wooster behind 12-14, Suvi Puripattarapan connected on three free throws, and Keegan and Schwartz added baskets, allowing Wooster to regain a five-point lead (19-14).

Oberlin (6-8, 1-2 NCAC) came back to tie the game 19-19, and eventually took a slight 29-25 lead going into the break. At that juncture, the Yeowomen took control of the game, as Allison Anderson and Syrea Thomas ignited a 17-4 Oberlin run to start the second half. Wooster never got within less than 14 points (35-49) down during the game's final 10 minutes.

Wooster shot 24.6 percent from the field on the day, including a 7-for-31 (22.6 percent) clip after halftime. Following a superb 3-point shooting day Wednesday against Earlham College, the Scots went just 2-for-12 from behind the arc.

Schwartz led Wooster with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Keegan added 12 points and two steals.

Oberlin was led by Anderson, who overcame a slow start to finish with 15 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.

Next up, Wooster heads to Kenyon College (7-6, 1-1 NCAC) next Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
