The North Coast Athletic Conference has named The College of Wooster's Jessica Wingen its Player of the Week for women's basketball, after the sophomore combined for 25 points and 20 rebounds in two games and led the Scots to their first conference win of the season.

On Wednesday, Wooster notched a much-needed 66-57 overtime win at Oberlin College, and Wingen had a lot to do with the result. The standout post player recorded 19 points and eight rebounds, and was excellent at the free throw line (9-for-10), which helped seal the victory in the extra stanza.

In Saturday's loss to Wittenberg University, Wingen added six points and a game-high 12 rebounds, which pushed her season average to 6.8 boards per game. She also totaled three blocked shots during the week, and currently ranks second in the NCAC with 41 blocks.

Wingen and the rest of the Scots will wrap up their regular season this week with two home games, beginning with Wednesday's tilt against Allegheny College at 7:30 p.m.
