Following her solid sophomore season, the North Coast Athletic Conference has made The College of Wooster's Jessica Wingen an honorable mention selection on the All-NCAC Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Wingen, a six-foot forward from Pittsburgh, Pa. (Mt. Lebanon H.S.), averaged 8.5 points, and ranked eighth in the league with 6.6 rebounds per game. She was also the NCAC's best shot blocker, averaging 1.8 blocks per game, which includes seven outings where she totaled three or more.

Some of Wingen's best games came in conference play, where she set new career-highs in points and rebounding. Against Ohio Wesleyan University on Dec. 11, Wingen scored 22 points on 9-for-15 (.600) shooting from the field. She also had a pair of memorable games against archrival Wittenberg University, including a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) on Jan. 22, and a 12-rebound night Feb. 12.

Wingen seemed to pick up steam as the season rolled on, and at one point she totaled four double-digit scoring games (15, 11, 12, 19) over a five-game span. In Wooster's win over Oberlin College on Feb. 9, Wingen went 9-for-10 (.900) from the free throw line, including 7-for-8 in overtime, to help seal the victory and earn NCAC Player of the Week honors.
