WOOSTER, Ohio – DePauw University put on a shooting exhibition, which included 12 3-pointers, and the No. 1 ranked Tigers cruised past The College of Wooster women's basketball team 87-46 on Saturday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference tilt at Timken Gymnasium.

The Tigers (15-0, 6-0 NCAC) shot 56.6 percent (30-for-53) from the field, 75.0 percent from behind the 3-point arc (12-for-16), and 93.8 percent (15-for-16) from the free throw line, leaving the Scots (6-9, 1-5 NCAC) with little margin for error against the top team in NCAA Div. III.

Rachel Huxhold slowed DePauw's 19-4 scoring run to open the game with a 3-pointer that pulled Wooster within 12 at 19-7, but the Tigers continued to increase their cushion, and led by 22 (32-10) about 12 minutes into the action.

Late in the first half, Jessica Wingen and Sydney Grier made back-to-back buckets to cut the deficit to 18 (39-21), but DePauw again responded, this time taking a 7-0 scoring run with them into the break, as well as a 25-point advantage (46-21).

Wooster snuck in a 5-0 scoring run early in the second half, which included a free throw from Suvi Puripattarapan, and jumpers from Maura Hall and Wingen, but DePauw continued to steadily pull away for the decisive conference victory.

Wingen paced Wooster with 15 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and eight rebounds. Next on the stat sheet was Puripattarapan with eight points and four rebounds, while Karley Walker chipped in seven tallies, and Hall added six.

Depauw has 11 different players enter the scoring column, with Emma Ondik's 16 leading the way. Ondik made all five shots she took, with four coming from 3-point range.

The Scots will begin a stretch of three straight road games Wednesday when they visit Oberlin College for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
