The College of Wooster women's basketball team wrapped up its 2012-13 season Saturday with a 76-41 loss to No. 1 ranked DePauw University at Greencastle, Ind.

The Scots (9-16, 4-12 NCAC) finish the year part of a three-way tie with Hiram College (9-16, 4-12 NCAC) and Oberlin College (9-16, 4-12 NCAC) in the North Coast Athletic Conference standings, but because Hiram and Oberlin recorded victories over higher-seeded league opponents, Wooster missed out on a berth into the NCAC Tournament.

The Scots were competitive early on, as Jessica Wingen scored six of her seven points during the game's first 6:21, but the undefeated Tigers (25-0, 16-0 NCAC) took a 15-point lead, 25-10, about midway through the first half and never looked back.

After scoring just 14 points during the first half, the Scots nearly doubled that output after the break by scoring 27 compared to DePauw's 33. Karley Walker and Rachel Huxhold combined to score 16 points in the second half after being held to just one point in the first half.

Suvi Puripattarapan was productive in 21 minutes off the bench, recording six points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

DePauw was busy from beyond the arc, going 8-for-22 overall, including three makes from Savannah Trees. Leading the Tigers in scoring was Ali Ross with 15 tallies.
