Maura Hall has The College of Wooster women's basketball team off to a 2-0 start thanks to back-to-back double-doubles at the Nan Nichols Classic, and the North Coast Athletic Conference named her this season's first Player of the Week for her efforts.

Hall was tabbed Most Valuable Player at the Nan Nichols Classic over the weekend, as she scored 35 points on 61.9 percent shooting from the field (12-of-21), while also adding 23 rebounds in just two games

On Saturday, Hall propelled Wooster to one of its highest point totals in program history, as the Fighting Scots bested Earlham College 91-81. Hall paved the way with a career-high 19 points, which included just her sixth career 3-pointer, and chipped in 11 boards for a double-double.

Then Sunday, the senior guard had another strong outing, this time with 16 points and 12 rebounds, as the Scots powered past Thiel College 81-70. Hall's second double-double in as many days was also the eighth of her career.

Also noteworthy, Wooster went 50-for-56 from the free-throw line over the weekend (89.3 percent), and Hall did her part by going 8-for-9.

The Scots will look to make it three in a row when they host Geneva College on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
