2014-15 All-NCAC Women's Basketball Team

Lauren Hancher had one of the best individual seasons in the history of The College of Wooster women's basketball program, and on Tuesday, the junior standout was awarded with a spot on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team, as announced by the league office.

The second-leading scorer in the NCAC in 2014-15 with 17.7 points per game, Hancher's scoring average is the sixth-highest ever by a Fighting Scot. She was even better against league opponents (18.4 ppg), where she scored 20 or more points seven times.

Most notably, Hancher exploded for a program record 40 points against Hiram College (Jan. 28), joining just 14 other players in NCAA Div. III that reached the 40-point mark this season. She also had a 30-point outing against Oberlin College two weeks prior (Jan. 14).

Overall, Hancher shot 43.0 percent from the field (175-of-407) and 81.7 percent at the free throw line (89-of-109), with the latter being third-highest in the NCAC. She also added career-highs in rebounds (4.2 rpg), assists (1.7 apg), and steals (2.1 spg) as part of an impressive all-around campaign.

Now a two-time all-NCAC pick on the hardwood (second-team in 2013-14), and a three-timer in women's soccer, Hancher will enter her senior season just 17 points shy of 1,000 (983).
