Gibbs Named All-NCAC Second Team

Senior Anna Gibbs was named All-NCAC Second Team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Gibbs, a two-time All-NCAC Honorable Mention honoree, moved up to the second team following a senior campaign in which she led Wooster at 13.8 ppg and 3.8 apg.

She was first in the conference averaging 35.2 minutes per game, and in conference games alone was fifth in points per game (15.4) and third in assists (3.6).

Gibbs scored a career-high 27 points twice in the season - Jan. 23 at Allegheny College and Feb. 2 at Ohio Wesleyan University. She also scored in double figures in 19 of the 25 games she appeared in.

For her career, Gibbs finished with 1,238 points fof fifth all-time in program history. She also finished ninth in field goals made (411), second in 3-pointers made (139), fourth in free throws made (277) and second in assists (346).

She was also one of two players since 1987 to play and start in every game she appeared. Her 102 games played is second in school history.

DePauw's Maya Howard was named Player of the Year, and Oberlin's Olivia Canning was named the Top Defensive Player. DePauw also had the Newcomer of the Year in Mya Shannon, and Sara Lee of Denison was named Coach of the Year.
