Zahorsky Becomes Wooster's First-Ever NCAC Golfer of the Week
Junior shoots a 102 during the program's debut event
Competing in the first women's golf event in College of Wooster history, junior Janet Zahorsky carded the Fighting Scots' lowest round, leading them to a victory over Ohio Wesleyan University, and garnering North Coast Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week honors in the process.
Zahorsky, who led off for the Scots, topped all other golfers with a 102 on the par-72, 6454-yard course at Wooster Country Club. Her day was highlighted by a birdie on the second hole, and she also recorded par on two other holes. Zahorsky's score was five strokes better than Ohio Wesleyan's top finisher.
The Scots will tee off next at the Hiram Fall Invitational on Sunday.
