Sullivan Finishes 18th at Mount Union Invite
Freshman leads Scots at first spring tourney
The College of Wooster sent four women's golfers to the University of Mount Union Invitational this weekend, but due to a withdrawl on Sunday, the Fighting Scots did not record a team finish during the nine-team, 36-hole event at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance, Ohio.
Wooster sat in eighth-place after Saturday's round, paced by a 93 from Rainey Sullivan and a 98 courtesy of Janet Zahorsky. Sullivan followed with an 88 score, as she took 18th individually (181 total) out of a field of 49.
The Scots' other competitors were Nichole Gustafson, who carded a 113 and 106 en route to a tie for 44th-place, and Joanie Jenkins, who turned in a 113 and 112.
Wooster, a first-year varsity program, will be back in action next Saturday with a dual match at Ohio Wesleyan University. The Scots defeated the Battling Bishops 422-468 during the fall.
