Scots Fourth After First Day of Play at the NCAC Championships

Mansfield, Ohio — The North Coast Athletic Conference Championships got underway Saturday in Mansfield, and The College of Wooster women's golf team currently sits fourth among six teams.

Wooster shot a 349 which was 21 strokes behind first place Wittenberg University. The Tigers are in a battle for the top spot with DePauw University (329) and Denison University (332).

Ohio Wesleyan University (358) and Allegheny College (365) rounded out the field.

Tongtong Wu has an 83 to lead the Scots. She shot a four-over in the first nine and is currently tied eighth among individuals.

Megan Gronau came in tied in 11th with an 86. Hannah Appleman is 17th at 89, and Lilly Dunning rounded out the team scoring with a 91. Kaci Carpenter also shot a 98.

Wittenberg's Madison Wolters and DePauw's Larissa Luloff currently lead the field with a 77.

The tournament continues tomorrow at the Westbrook Country Club - a par 72, 5,800-yard course.
