CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Wooster women's golf team took on NCAA Div. I The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, and while the Bulldogs won the match-play event 3-0, there were several impressive performances turned in by the Fighting Scots at scenic Patriots Point Links.

Juniors Tongtong Wu and Megan Gronau led the way for Wooster, with both finishing their matches all-square against The Citadel's Nadia Sandler and Ashlee Richardson.

Senior Hannah Applemen lost 5-and-4 against Mirabella Calabrase, Sarah Smith topped Wooster senior Kaci Carpenter 4-and-3, and sophomore Kayla Audette dropped her match against Mackenzie Battle 6-and-5.

Situated on the edge of Charleston Harbor, and offering spectacular views of the city, Fort Sumter, and ships arriving from all over the world, Patriots Point is a favorite place to play for local Charleston golfers and resort guests. Some of the key features of the course include numerous crosswinds, which pose tough challenges for golfers of all skill levels.

Wooster's slated to be back in action at Marietta College's Pioneer Classic, which is scheduled to be held March 21-22 at Lakeside Golf Club in Beverly, Ohio.
