Seniors Megan Gronau and Tongtong Wu earned honorable mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors for The College of Wooster women's golf team, which finished fourth at the 2021 NCAC Championship Series. The Fighting Scots shot a 382 on Saturday at the challenging par-72, 5,860-yard Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio, to finish at 742 for the 36-hole championship series.

By virtue of their top-15 finishes, Gronau and Wu automatically earned all-conference status. For Gronau, it's the neuroscience major's third All-NCAC certificate, and she's the second three-time all-conference performer in program history. Wu, a psychology major, is now a two-time all-conference performer.

Wu placed 13th in the 29-player field at 177. The senior had the Scots' low round of 91 at event two. Wu birdied the par-3, 342-yard 11th hole, and she added five pars on the day, including each of the par-3 holes. Of note, Wu graduates with an 84.6 average, and that's tops in program history, as is her four medalist honors.

Gronau placed 14th at 178 after a 93 on Saturday. The senior carded pars on the last two holes on the front-nine, and she also had pars on Nos. 1, 3, and 13. Of note, Gronau graduates with an 86.1 stroke average, the third-best in program history.

Junior Kayla Audette was next. She placed 22nd at 191 and carded a 98 on Saturday. First-year Melissa Cooke, who had four pars, including back-to-back ones on Nos. 3 and 4 was fourth within the team. Cooke shot a 100 and finished at 193 for the championships. Sophomore Riley Thorr's round got off to a strong start with pars on two of the first three holes. Thorr's 101 on Saturday brought the championship total to 200.

Denison University (658) captured its first NCAC championship in program history with a 17-stroke win over DePauw University (675). Wittenberg University (721) took third-place. The Big Red's Laine Hursh was the medalist at 164. Her 83 was the low score of the day.
