Senior Melissa Burtscher is now a two-time North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week, with Monday's selection following a third-place finish which helped The College of Wooster women's golf program to its 13th tournament title.

Burtscher was one of three Fighting Scots to shoot 79 at Sunday's single-day University of Mount Union Fall Invitational. That score helped Wooster to a 317 – the third-lowest team round in program history – and a four-stroke win over host Mount Union.

With the third-place finish, Burtscher now has 10 top-five finishes at traditional tournaments, which extended an already-held career program record.

Burtscher was previously the NCAC Athlete of the Week after shooting the runner-up score of 167 at the 2022 Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational.

Wooster returns to action at the Westfield Collegiate Golf Classic, hosted by Westfield Country Club on its South Course September 18-19.
