Another Week of Competition, Another NCAC Athlete of the Week Honor for Women's Golf

Ally Siewert The College of Wooster women's golf team keeps turning out winners, as the Fighting Scots have competed in regular-season events 14 weeks since the onset of the 2022-23 season, and the program has now captured the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week prize nine times. Junior Ally Siewert has claimed three of the program's nine honors, with the latest following a runner-up finish at John Carroll University's Fall Invitational over the weekend.

A 158 is the magic number for Siewert, as both NCAC Athlete of the Week awards have come with that as the junior's 36-hole score. The latest 158 ranked second in the 71-competitor field at Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Siewert claimed a third top-three showing this fall, and her final-round 78 matched a season-low. The 78 was Siewert's third round in the 70s this fall.

As a team, Wooster won the John Carroll Fall Invitational for its third tournament crown. That tied the single-season program record and it is the third time in program history Wooster has won a trio of tournaments in a season.

This is Siewert's third career NCAC Athlete of the Week honor.

The chase for a historic fourth team title kicks off at Wittenberg University's Fall Invitational, which takes place October 15-16 at Springfield Country Club.
