The College of Wooster's Abigail Haywood rode a career-best third-place finish to North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

Haywood led Wooster to a second-place finish at Saturday's Westminster College Fall Invitational after shooting an 81. Haywood's 81 tied for the sophomore's third-lowest collegiate round. The sophomore did not miss on par 3 and par 5 holes, logging par on all seven of them at the Avalon Field Club at New Castle. Haywood had 10 pars overall in the round, with six coming on the back nine.

This is Haywood's first NCAC Athlete of the Week honor.

Wooster is idle until the Grove City College Invitational on Thursday, September 26.
