Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I wanted a college with smaller class sizes and having an Independent Study where I could work with a professor in a one-on-one setting presented a great opportunity. I also loved meeting the golf team and Coach Lisa Campanell Komara.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: To me, being a Fighting Scot student-athlete means showing up on the course and in the classroom. It means being a part of a community of athletes where everyone supports each other through all aspects of school. I am proud to be a student-athlete at Wooster.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: One of my favorite memories was going on a Wooster TREK to Greece. I made many new friends and got to explore Greece with other Wooster students. We traveled around the mainland and to many islands learning about ancient medicine. We learned traditional Greek dances and had a Greek cooking class.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: Being a part of a supportive community and getting to play a sport that I love.
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am a campus captain for The Hidden Opponent, a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative, work as a tour guide in the admissions office, am the co-president of Inter-Greek Council, and work throughout the athletics department.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Coach Lisa Campanell Komara made the biggest impact on my college career. She taught me many valuable lessons which include never giving up and always giving my best effort.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: Jeff Bricker and Kevin Smith have both impacted my experience in a positive way. They both always encourage me to be my best on and off of the course and have always made time to play a few holes with team members.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am exploring the relationship between sleep and physical activity in Wooster students by tracking students' day-to-day activities on Fitbits.
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: The golf teams traveled to Ireland in 2022. We explored Dublin, Galway, and the Cliffs of Moher. It was a wonderful experience exploring another country and getting to play with golfers from Ireland.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: Cherish every moment of college. It goes by fast.
