The College of Wooster doubled up Reinhardt University 10-5 during the first half, then scored five unanswered goals to start the second and rolled to an 18-8 victory Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Waleska, Ga.

Wooster (3-1) put together a 7-1 stretch in the first half to build a five-goal halftime advantage.

Just 17 seconds into the second, Clare Nelson-Johnson scored and the Fighting Scots would add four more over the next 10 minutes for a 15-5 cushion. Reinhardt (5-3) never cut the margin any closer than eight the rest of the way.

Madison Carey, Nelson-Johnson, and Jaqueline Wallat combined for 15 of Wooster's 18 goals. Carey and Nelson-Johnson both matched career highs with six and five goals, respectively, while Wallat's four marked the best offensive performance of her four-year career.

Carey also had two assists to tie for team honors in that category with Eliza Perry and Shelby Stone, while Molly Sennett played an integral role with six caused turnovers and four groundballs. In net, Shawna Ferris produced 11 saves before giving way to Sarah Ragosta, who made one.

The Scots continue their spring break trip at Shorter University (8-2), also in Georgia.
