Madison Carey, a senior on The College of Wooster's women's lacrosse team, recorded six goals and seven assists in two games last week, setting the Scots' single season scoring record and earning North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.

Against Ohio Wesleyan University, Carey notched her fifth game of the season with five goals or more, as the standout attacker scored five times and dished out a helper in a 19-12 victory. Later in the week against St. Vincent College, she assisted on five goals and scored another to lead Wooster to a decisive 15-4 triumph.

She now stands at 91 points (57 goals, 34 assists) on the season, passing former Fighting Scot great and current Wittenberg University head coach Beth Hemminger's mark of 85 points set in the 2003 season.

Carey and the third-seeded Scots (12-4-1) will visit No. 2 seed Denison University (12-4) Thursday at 3 p.m. for semifinal action in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.
