The College of Wooster had three players named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-West Region Team, as attacker Madison Carey represented the Fighting Scots as a first-team selection, while midfielder Clare Nelson-Johnson and defender Molly Sennett were second-teamers, the organization announced Friday.

Carey becomes the 24th player in program history to make the all-region team at least twice, as she was a second-team pick a year ago. The senior totaled the second-most points in the region this spring with a program record 94 points, which came on 58 goals and 36 assists. Carey's signature season helped her move up the ranks on several career lists at Wooster, as she now sits third all-time in points (233) and goals (162), and fourth in assists (71), despite not becoming a starter until midway through her sophomore campaign.

Nelson-Johnson gave Wooster an explosive 1-2 punch on the offensive end, as the junior scored 56 goals and added 19 assists for a 75-point season. It was a breakout year for the two-sport standout (field hockey), as she started the season with 18 goals in four games, and then went on to produce 14 hat tricks in all. She also used her game-changing speed to lead the team in draw controls (68) and pick up 39 ground balls.

Sennett had an outstanding rookie season and was one of only two freshmen to be chosen to the all-region team. The defender led Wooster in caused turnovers (27) and ground balls (48), and helped the Scots hold seven opponents to eight goals or less. As the season wore on, Sennett became more involved on the offensive end, adding 19 points (14 goals, 5 assists), with 14 coming against regional opponents.
