WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster used a balanced offensive attack that included 10 different scorers, and didn't allow a single goal in the second half, on its way to a dominant 18-5 victory over Thiel College on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's lacrosse match-up at a cold and rainy John P. Papp Stadium.

The game was closely-contested up until midway through the first half, when Wooster (2-1) scored four consecutive goals during a 5:02 span to take a 7-2 advantage.

It remained at five-point game at halftime, 10-5, but the second half was all Scots, as they held Thiel (2-6) to just three shot attempts, while scoring eight unanswered goals by seven different players en route to a lopsided victory.

Molly Sennett, a defender, had a strong game on both ends of the field, as she totaled four points on offense with a hat trick and an assist, and defensively, she caused two turnovers and scooped up three groundballs.

Shelby Stone led the team with five points (2 goals, 3 assists), while Eliza Perry (2 goals, 2 assists) and Ellie Hudson-Heck (2 goals, 2 assists) had matching four-point outings.

Other Scots that scored were Heather Honn (2 goals), Clare Nelson-Johnson (2 goals), Abby Szlachta (2 goals), Cassie Greenbaum (1 goal), Ashley Parry (1 goal), and Alison Schlothauer, whom had a goal as well as two assists.

Also on the stat sheet, the Scots held a 15-9 edge on draw controls, which included six from Nelson-Johnson, and outshot Thiel by a 31-13 margin.

After picking up back-to-back victories at home, the Scots will look to continue their winning streak when they begin a six-game road swing at Concordia (Wis.) University (1-0) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
