Junior attacker Eliza Perry scored a career-high five goals to lift The College of Wooster to a 13-8 win over Carthage College during a neutral-site affair Friday at Mequon, Wis.

With the score tied at four midway through the first half, Perry scored twice during a 4-0 run that saw Wooster (4-1) take command. That stretch occurred in just 5:24 and also featured a goal and an assist by Clare Nelson-Johnson.

Carthage (1-4) battled back within 8-6 after tallying the initial goal of the second half, only to see the Fighting Scots account for the next three scores, two courtesy of Perry, to reaffirm control. The Lady Reds never got any closer than four the rest of the way, as Wooster notched its fourth consecutive victory.

Perry had seven previous hat tricks in her career, but never five goals in a game, and also of note, her output came on just six shot attempts. Teammates Ellie Hudson-Heck and Shelby Stone contributed two goals apiece.

Also of note, Shawna Ferris was credited with nine saves, the fourth time in five games she's had more saves than goals allowed this year, and Cassie Greenbaum and Molly Sennett added three draw controls and two caused turnovers, respectively.

Wooster heads to Danville, Ky., for a pair of games against Millsaps College (4-3) and host Centre College (5-5) on March 30-31.
