WOOSTER, Ohio – After scoring 18 or 19 goals in five of its last seven games, The College of Wooster hit the 20-goal mark for the first time in 2013 during a 21-9 rout of Sewanee in the schools' non-conference women's lacrosse contest Sunday on Andrew Turf Field at John P. Papp Stadium.

The game was close through the first 12 minutes, as Wooster (9-1) led 4-3 at that point. Then the hosts hit their stride offensively and Sewanee (9-6) couldn't keep up, as the Fighting Scots put together a 5-0 run over a 5:34 stretch, featuring two goals apiece from Clare Nelson-Johnson and Eliza Perry.

Wooster extended its advantage to 12-5 by halftime, and then put the game out of reach by scoring three more times for a double-digit margin just 2:02 into the second.

Nelson-Johnson finished with a career-best six goals on six shots and she also contributed two assists for eight points, also a career high. The senior standout won five draw controls as well.

Perry tallied four goals while helping out on two others for six points, and also notable, Shelby Stone posted a hat trick, Ellie Hudson-Heck a one-goal, three-assist outing, and Cassie Greenbaum repeatedly helped win possession with nine draw controls.

On the defensive end, Isabel Perman played her best game since taking over the goalkeeper position, tallying 11 saves.

The Scots next return to North Coast Athletic Conference action as they take their nine-game win streak to archrival Wittenberg University (6-3, 3-0 NCAC) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
