Ellie Hudson-Heck

With her second-straight selection to the All-Great Lakes Region First Team, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association on Tuesday, sophomore Ellie Hudson-Heck has become just the third from The College of Wooster to be named first-team all-region in the first two years of her collegiate career. Also earning all-region accolades is three-time pick Molly Sennett and first-time honoree Eliza Perry, on the first and second-team, respectively.

Hudson-Heck joins W Association Hall-of-Famers Beth Hemminger '03 and Meg Wood '95 as one of three in program history to earn first-team all-region as a freshman and sophomore. She did it with another strong offensive season, with 47 points (39 goals, 8 assists), which pushed her over 100 points (102) for her career. Hudson-Heck registered hat tricks in seven of her last eight games this spring, with a career-high six-goal explosion coming against Denison University on April 15. Her contributions span across the board, as she's just the third Wooster player of the 2000s to total 30 or more goals (39), draw controls (36), and groundballs (33) in the same season.

Sennett, who was a second-team all-region selection her first two years, now makes the leap to the first-team after another strong effort as Wooster's defensive anchor. The Fighting Scots went 4-1 down the stretch to earn a North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament berth and Sennett was a big reason why, as she totaled 15 groundballs and 11 caused turnovers while helping Wooster limit opponents to just 9.8 goals per game during that span. Sennett is the only player in the NCAC to rank among the top-5 in caused turnovers each of the last three years and has 88 for her career.

Perry garners her first all-region nod as a senior after leading Wooster in points for the second year in a row with 49 coming on 21 goals and 28 assists. Her ability to both score and create goals for others went a long way towards the team's success this season, as she had a hand in six or more goals in five games, with a season-high seven (2 goals, 5 assists) coming against Kenyon College on April 19. Only six players in the NCAC surpassed 20 goals and 20 assists this year, and Perry was the only one of that group to need less than 40 shot attempts (39) and 16 games played (13) to do it.
