WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster fired in six unanswered goals during the early stages of the second half, pulling away to a decisive 13-5 victory over northeast Ohio foe Baldwin Wallace University in women's lacrosse action Wednesday night on Andrew Turf Field at John P. Papp Stadium.

Wooster (7-2) also had a significant scoring run during the first half – five consecutive goals – however Baldwin Wallace (3-3) was within 5-3 when it scored 4:15 into the second.

Then, the Fighting Scots took control. Jamie Wren-Jarvis finished a point-blank opportunity from Shelby Stone, who had weaved her way through the Yellow Jackets' defense, about 90 seconds later.

Wooster really stretched out its lead when it scored four times during a 2:22 stretch. First, Molly Sennett converted a free-position opportunity, then Stone pumped in a goal off a Helena Enders pass, and Ellie Hudson-Heck and Heather Szymanski each added unassisted tallies to make it a 10-3 advantage.

Stone's third-goal of the game, assisted by Shannan Pullara, completed the six-goal run, as Baldwin Wallace finally halted it with a score at the 10:54 mark, which cut the margin to 11-4.

Ashley Parry quickly erased any thoughts of comeback attempt, connecting for Wooster 21 seconds later, and the Scots went on to the eight-goal win.

Hudson-Heck, Parry, and Stone led the Scots' balanced offense, each recording a hat trick. Stone's helper gave her a game-high four points, and Pullara was the only player on the field with two assists.

Noteworthy, Parry stood out during a game in which her mother, Candi Parry, was on the opposite sideline as an assistant coach for the Yellow Jackets.

On the defensive end for Wooster, Wynn Boehmcke contributed four caused turnovers and five groundballs and Isabel Perman tallied five saves in goal.

The Scots return to North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday when they host DePauw University (5-4, 1-1 NCAC) at 11 a.m.
