Sophomore defender Wynn Boehmcke, junior midfielder Ellie Hudson-Heck, and senior attacker Shelby Stone of The College of Wooster were all named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association All-Great Lakes Region First Team, the coaches' organization announced on Tuesday.

Wooster, which tied a school record with a 12-game winning streak and went 13-4 overall during the 2015 season, was one of three schools to have three first-team honorees.

Boehmcke became the standout in the Fighting Scots' defensive half, with her aggressiveness resulting in 31 caused turnovers and 50 groundballs. In seven games, Wooster held the opposition to single-digit goals, and for the year, it averaged less than 10 goals allowed (9.5 gpg), which marked a significant improvement over last spring's rate of 12.3.

Hudson-Heck, now a three-time first-team all-region selection, made an impact in a variety of areas as she led the Scots in goals (55), draw controls (65), and groundballs (52) and very nearly in caused turnovers (30) as well. Hudson-Heck, who added nine assists for a 64-point season, finished particularly strong on the offensive end with hat tricks in eight of the last nine games, including three five-goal performances.

Stone, the leader of Wooster's offense, achieved just the third 80-point campaign in team history, netting 52 goals and assisting on 28. She was effective during free-position opportunities, scoring on 16-of-25 shots, while also winning 27 draw controls during the year. Stone piled up goals in bunches with three five-goal games and two six-goal outings, and she also recorded three-plus assists four times.
