Healy Tabbed All-Great Lakes Region

Megan Healy

Sophomore defender Megan Healy earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region second-team honors, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.

Healy, who earned her first career All-North Coast Athletic Conference certificate on Tuesday as a first-team selection, turned in a banner year in nearly every statistical category with team-highs in groundballs (49) and caused turnovers (37), in addition to 47 draw controls – more than tripling last year's total – while tallying 11 goals and five assists.

In conference play, Healy finished second league-wide in groundballs (33) and caused turnovers (21) to go along with a top 10 mark in draw controls (22). Against conference champion Denison University, the athletic defender stepped up with eight groundballs while nabbing seven draw controls at Allegheny College. In Wooster's 17-11 win over Calvin College, Healy posted a career-high three goals as one of three 3-point performances on the year. Wooster finished its 2017 campaign with an 11-5 record.
