This Week's Outlook: The second-seeded College of Wooster women's lacrosse team is in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament for the 13th time in the last 14 years. The Fighting Scots take on third-seeded Kenyon College on Thursday, May 2 at 5 p.m. The winner of Thursday's game advances to Sunday's championship game, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed. Sunday's game time will be released by the conference office at the conclusion of all NCAC semifinal games (men's and women's) on Thursday.

Ticket Information: Ticket prices for NCAC Tournaments are set by the conference office. For lacrosse, tickets are $7 for adults, and $3 for children 18-years-old and under. College of Wooster students are admitted free of charge, but must present their COW card at the ticket booth. Additionally, NCAC guest passes and lifetime passes are valid for complementary admission at the NCAC Tournament. Wooster will begin ticket sales at 3:30 p.m.

Wooster's NCAC Tournament History: The Scots have won the NCAC Tournament six times in program history, including four under the helm of 14-year head coach Elizabeth Ford, who enters Thursday's game with a career record of 159-66-1 (.706) and a 10-9 mark in conference tournament play. Under Ford, Wooster's 7-4 in the conference semifinals and 6-4 as the No. 2 seed.

A Look-Back at this Year's Regular-Season Meeting: Wooster's 15-14 win over Kenyon on April 24 was about as razor thin as they come, at least statistically speaking. Both teams fired 36 shots, with Wooster sophomore 'keeper Katie Shideler (Gibsonia, Pa./North Allegheny) tallying 15 saves to Kenyon 'keeper Carina Barnes' 13. The Ladies did have a slight edge on groundballs (24-22) and draw controls (17-13), but Wooster did have one fewer turnover. With the win, Wooster snapped Kenyon's 12-game winning streak.

A Historic Season: Wooster's only blemish on the year thus far is a 14-6 setback against Denison University on April 10. Prior to that, Wooster raced out to a 10-0 start, which marked the best ever in program history, and the Scots have since won a single-season school record 15 games.

Healy Tops Program's Marks, Then Her Own: Senior Megan Healy (Ottawa Hills, Ohio/Ottawa Hills) logged eight groundballs, seven draw controls, and five caused turnovers during Wooster's 15-14 overtime win against Baldwin Wallace University on March 20. That made Healy the program's all-time leader in draw controls and groundballs, and she also matched the top mark the program annals for career caused turnovers. Since then, Healy's upped her 2019 draw controls haul to 105 and groundballs count to 74, with those totals exceeding the 99 and 72, respectively, she had in 2018.

Welcome to the Club: Senior Laura Papp (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Northern) scored her 100th career goal during Wooster's 21-5 dismantling of Allegheny College on April 16, and Wooster's century club is now 25 members strong after senior Emma Lawrence (Wilbraham, Mass./Williston-Northhampton) collected her 100th score during Saturday's 20-6 win over DePauw University.

Brick Wall: Wooster's defense has been extra impressive this season, as the Scots enter the NCAC Tournament yielding 6.41 goals per game. Shideler sports a .508 save percentage on the year, while sophomore Lauryn Hill (Liberty Twp., Ohio/Lakota East), senior Megan Myers (Columbus, Ohio/Bexley), senior Natalie Souleyrette (Wyoming, Ohio/St. Ursula Academy), and senior Rose Taylor (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park & River Forest) have been the starting lineup in the backfield for most of the season.
