Scots Fall to Moravian 21-13

BETHLEHEM, PA. -- The College of Wooster women's lacrosse team suffered a 21-13 defeat to Moravian College on Thursday.

With the NCAA season in jeopardy, the women celebrated their two seniors today in Jenny Grossmann and Emma Hambright.

Grossmann scored once in the contest. The neuroscience major is at 96 goals for her career.

Hambright collected two ground balls. Another neuroscience major, she began her career as a goalkeeper for the team and transitioned into a defender.

Moravian scored the game's opening two goals and never lost the lead. They led 10-4 at halftime.

Ashley Boersma scored three goals to lead the way for Wooster. Alexa Mellis, Hannah Shaw and Caitlyn O'Connor all had two goals.

Shaw also had three ground balls. Katie Shideler made 17 saves in net.

Wooster is now 3-2 on the season.
