200-200 Club Member Morris, NCAC Athlete of the Week
Senior honored by conference following milestone-filled week
The College of Wooster's Kenzie Morris was named North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week following her becoming the first player in program history to have 200 career points and 200 career draw controls.
Morris reached 200 career points with the opening goal of Wooster's 5-0 run in a midweek 14-8 loss to NCAA Div. II Rockhurst University. The senior midfielder delivered an impressive performance against the upper-level competition, logging four caused turnovers, three groundballs, three draw controls, two goals, and two assists.
In Sunday's 13-8 win at Widener University, Morris surpassed 200 career draw controls. She had five draw controls, two assists, a goal, and a caused turnover in the win.
The honor is Morris' second NCAC Athlete of the Week award.
Wooster returns to action on Wednesday, March 19 with a 4 p.m. game at Albright College (3-3).
