Six Scots Score in Runaway Win at Oberlin

<a href= Kelsey Peters and Bri Fulmer scored their first goals of the season, and four other members of The College of Wooster women's soccer team lit the scoreboard as well, as the Fighting Scots upended Oberlin College 6-0 Tuesday evening in North Coast Athletic Conference action at Oberlin, Ohio.

The Scots (9-5, 3-0 NCAC) converted on the first shot attempt of the match, as Fulmer lobbed a pass that Kelsey Peters headed into the back of the net at 3:51. Erin Davison was the next Scot to score, as she took a boot from outside the goal box that beat the 'keeper and gave Wooster a 2-0 cushion that lasted into the break.

Oberlin (4-10, 1-2 NCAC) actually led Wooster 11-8 in shot attempts in the second half, but the Scots made the most of their opportunities, scoring four times over a 30 minute span. Liz Mott found Paige Piper for a goal just 1:43 into the stanza, and then Piper returned the favor moments later by assisting on a Mott goal which pushed Wooster's advantage to 4-0. Maggie Kehm and Fulmer tallied the Scots' final two goals on dishes from Kendal Wong and Allison Schlothauer, respectively.

Fulmer, Piper, and Mott each tallied a goal and an assist, while Michele Ring recorded two saves and her third shutout of the season. The match marked the second time this fall that Wooster has won 6-0, with the other coming against Manchester College on Sept. 11.

Wooster will look to improve on its 3-0 league record Saturday when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan University (3-7-2, 0-2 NCAC) at 1 p.m.
