The College of Wooster women's soccer team outshot Washington & Jefferson College 10-4, but the Presidents made the most of their limited attempts, as they scored twice in the first half to get by the Fighting Scots 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Washington, Pa.

The Presidents got early goals from Tatum Marucci at 15:18 and Elizabeth Bendick at 27:23, but then the Scots' offense produced some quality opportunities of their own. Bri Fulmer delivered a pair of corner kicks that missed the mark, and Jessica Friesen blasted a shot that hit the post, leaving Wooster down 2-0 at the break.

In the second half, Erin Davison sent a shot into the post, and Kelsey Peters and Paige Piper forced goalkeeper Stephanie Saussol to make a pair of saves, but again Wooster failed to find the back of the net.

The Scots will look to get into the win column when they visit Marietta College Wednesday at 5 p.m.
