The College of Wooster women's soccer team scored on as many shots as it allowed on Sunday, as its offense and defense both produced on high levels en route to a 5-0 victory over Penn State Harrisburg at a neutral-site match-up in Carlisle, Pa.

The balanced effort from Wooster (2-0) also included five different goal scorers, starting with senior Kendal Wong, who netted her first career goal 12:07 into the action. That tally included a rare double assist with both Brenna Coolbaugh and Paige Piper getting clean passes on the play.

Right before halftime, the Fighting Scots made it a more comfortable 2-0 margin when Gabi Morrison connected on a feed from Taylor Morgan.

Wooster broke the game open with three goals just 7:22 apart during the second half. Crystal Chavez lit the scoreboard in the 72nd minute, followed by Erika Kay 1:32 later, which marked Kay's second tally in as many days. The fifth goal came from Sophia Garfinkel, assisted by Isabel Abarca.

Of the five shots the Scots' defense gave up, four were saved by Michele Ring as she secured her second shutout of the young season.

Wooster will be home for its next five matches, beginning on Wednesday against Marietta College (0-2) at 5 p.m.
