Six different players scored goals for The College of Wooster, including one by Kendal Wong just 37 seconds into the game, as the Fighting Scots cruised by Oberlin College 6-0 Tuesday night during a North Coast Athletic Conference women's soccer tilt at Fred Shults Field in Oberlin, Ohio.

Wooster (11-5-1, 6-1-0 NCAC), which remains in second-place in the conference standings, just two points behind Wittenberg University (10-3-3, 6-0-1 NCAC), went on the attack right away, as Wong booted in an early pass from Erika Kay. It was just four seconds shy of the school record for quickest goal to start a game set in 2001.

A bit later, Lily Mohre scored once and assisted on another tally, as the Scots made it 3-0 before 20 minutes had even elapsed. First, Mohre delivered a corner kick to fellow freshman Lauren Hancher, who headed it in during the 14th minute, and then she drove in a rebound goal in the 20th minute.

It remained a three-goal cushion until the second half when Wooster tacked on scores from Sophia Garfinkel, Paige Piper, and Gabi Morrison. Garfinkel's was assisted by Isabel Abarca, while goalie Michele Ring earned her fourth career assist on Morrison's goal.

Ring also was credited with three saves en route to her eighth shutout of the season and 23rd of her career.

The Scots will wrap up the regular season Saturday with a visit from Ohio Wesleyan University (6-10-1, 3-4-0 NCAC) at 1 p.m.
