Just one goal decided the winner of this weekend's tournament at Albright College, as The College of Wooster's strong defensive effort wasn't enough to carry it past York (Pa.) College in a 1-0 setback Sunday afternoon at Reading, Pa.

On a day where the Fighting Scots (1-1) couldn't get things going on the offensive end, goalkeeper Carly Eppler and the defense did all they could to keep Wooster in the game.

Eppler was credited with five saves, including one after a shot in the 75th minute that she pushed away, only to see a York player gather and score off the rebound to put Wooster behind 1-0 late in the contest.

The Scots fired off two of their nine shot attempts during the final moments of play, as Lily Mohre's rip deflected off a defender, and another game-tying shot by Katherine Tuttle was saved by the 'keeper shortly after.

Mohre was credited with a team-high three shots in all, while Tuttle and Jessica Friesen record two attempts apiece.

Wooster hosts its home opener Wednesday when it welcomes Bluffton University (0-1) for a 4:30 p.m. start.
