UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – It was a long night for The College of Wooster women's soccer team.
Not only did they battle their way through a double overtime scoreless tie against John Carroll University, but an hour 40-minute lightning delay preceded it.
Nevertheless, when it was all said and done the Scots moved to 2-0-1 on the year, and the Blue Streaks went to 1-1-1.
While neither team could find the back of the goal, Wooster outshot the opposition 14-7 and recorded eight shots on goal. Claire Davis took four shots. Miura Wiley, Devin Frisby and Holly Thompson all recorded two.
Last year's match ended with the same result. The all-time series favors Wooster at 16-8-3.
Wooster returns home Saturday to face Washington & Jefferson College.
