Scots Move to 5-0-1 After 2-0 Win Over Westminster

Miura Wiley recorded her third assist of the season Saturday.

The College of Wooster women's soccer team kept on rolling on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Westminster College (Pa.).

The Scots are now 5-0-1 as they dropped Westminster to 5-3.

Senior Kelsey Hall scored from the top of the box just eight minutes into the contest. She picked up a deflected ball and fired toward the net for her first goal of the season.

In the 24th minute, a perfect cross from junior Miura Wiley found the head of sophomore Holly Thompson who put the ball out of reach of the keeper's hands. It was Thompson's team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Molly Hutter made a pair of impressive saves within the first 15 minutes of action, and that set her up for what would be a shutout performance for the junior. She finished with three saves to collect her fifth win.

Wooster led 2-0 at halftime as neither team could make much happen in the second half. Wooster could not connect on a pair of opportunities when Wiley missed one high and Mila Zunich hit the far post on another.

Overall, the Scots outshot the Titans 15-8 and had a -1 differential in corner kicks, 6-5.

Today was the end of a four-game home stretch for the women. They travel to Otterbein University on Tuesday and are back home the following Saturday when they take on Washington & Jefferson College.
