Throughout the spring and summer, we'll be honoring our senior student-athletes with a "Senior Salute" series. Today's featured senior is Meghan Badge, a communication sciences and disorders major from Lansing, Michigan. Badge is a member of the women's soccer team.
Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: The small class size and community atmosphere
Q: What does it mean to you to be a Fighting Scot student-athlete?
A: To be part of something bigger than myself
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: My favorite memories are going to the NCAA Div. III Championships, winning the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament twice, and working in the Freedlander Speech & Hearing Clinic.
Q: What's the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: Having a team to back you up no matter what.
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am involved with the campus chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, People United for Sports and Health (PUSH), and Lambda Pi Eta (communication honor society).
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Dr. Donald Goldberg because he has helped me though Independent Study and has made me truly enjoy the field I am going into
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am looking at pediatric audiologists and educational audiologists regarding their knowledge about modes of communication for children who are born with hearing loss
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what is one piece of advice you would give your first-year (freshman) self?
A: Go to more campus events.
