Scots Reverse Two-Game Skid with 5-0 Win over Muskingum

Jaros The College of Wooster women's soccer team blanked Muskingum University with a decisive 5-0 win on Wednesday. 

The last time the women scored at least five goals was in 2015 when they defeated Marietta College 6-0.

First-year Hallie Krzys scored her first goal in her last game out, and now she has logged her first multi-goal game. She scored just 40 seconds into the contest, thanks to an assist from senior Miura Wiley, and then struck again in the eighth minute.

Meanwhile, junior Teddi Farson scored her first collegiate goal in the 27th minute to give Wooster a 3-0 lead heading into the half.

The 2019 NCAC Offensive Player of the Year recorded her first goal of the year in the second half as Wiley added to her assist from earlier. Wiley rebounded a blocked shot and scored from inside the penalty box in the 55th minute.

First-year Emma Jaros wrapped up scoring in the 74th minute. Farson had a shot hit off the post, and Jaros was there to clean it up.

Sophomore Kyra Stief got the win in her first start in goal. She made two saves. First-year Bri Lowry played the second half and made a save to contribute to the combined shutout.

Wooster dominated possession and outshot the Muskies 33-6. Wooster also had five corner kick opportunities to Muskingum's one.

Wooster moves to 2-2, while Muskingum falls to 0-4. The Scots will be back home Saturday to face Alma College.
