Wiley, Krzys Connection Sets Tone for 7-0 Rout

Teddi Farson The College of Wooster women's soccer team rebounded from a tough loss last time out with a 7-0 win against Wilmington College on Saturday.

Senior Miura Wiley and first-year Hallie Krzys teamed up for the first three goals as Wooster went up 3-0 within the first 20 minutes of the game. Krzys found Wiley for the first and third goals while Wiley found Krzys for the game's second goal.

Junior Teddi Farson then came off the bench to get into the excitement, scoring the next three goals. Senior Holly Thompson assisted on the first, and junior Claire Horansky assisted on the third.

Farson was the 17th Scot to record three goals in one game and the first since 2015. The record is four which has been set twice (Paige Piper, 2011; Larisa Fricsons, 1991).

Rounding up the scoring was first-year Zoe Peters who connected on her first goal as a Fighting Scot. Senior Lillian Miller recorded her first point of her career, finding Peters on the corner kick.

Sophomore Kyra Stief got the start in net. She played 75 minutes and made six saves. First-year Bri Lowry concluded the game and made one save.

Wooster outshot Wilmington 23-12. The seven scores were two shy of tying the team record of nine which was set back in 1991.

Wooster improves to 3-4, while Wilmington falls to 1-5-1.

The Scots will remain home for two more games with the next on Wednesday when they take on the University of Mount Union.
