Junior Teddi Farson put her marks on three of the Scots' four goals Saturday as The College of Wooster women's soccer team defeated Oberlin College 4-2 in North Coast Athletic Conference action.
Farson broke a 2-2 tie late in the game off a rebound in the 80th minute. Grace Gascoigne received a goal kick near midfield and controlled the ball all the way for a shot inside the box. However, the ball was not roped in on the save and Farson was there to pick up the pieces.
Farson made sure there would not be a comeback when she scored again in the 85th minute on a header directly from a corner kick from senior Kelsey Stone.
Farson was also involved in the game's first goal when she had a shot saved and deflected off the goalkeeper, which allowed Miura Wiley to score her 11th goal of the season just 3:28 into the game.
Oberlin scored the next two goals. The first was a quick answer in the sixth minute, and they later went ahead 2-1 in the 31st minute.
This time Oberlin's lead did not last long as Naomi Mann scored in the 37th minute and the teams went into halftime tied 2-2.
Goalkeeper Amanda Flory had eight saves.
Wooster outshot Oberlin 20-18. Oberlin took five corner kicks to Wooster's four.
This was a big win for Wooster as they move to 8-7-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the NCAC. The win catapults them to a three-way tie for third place with Ohio Wesleyan (8-4-4, 3-2-1) and Oberlin (7-7-1, 3-3-1) as each team has 10 points.
The Scots have two games left in the regular season and will next travel to Allegheny College on Tuesday.
