Wiley Named NCAC Offensive Player of the Year, Four Others Named All-NCAC

The College of Wooster women's soccer team had five individuals named All-NCAC, including senior Miura Wiley as the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and Teddi Farson as the NCAC Newcomer of the Year.

Wiley (Cheshire, Conn.) was the lone Scot to earn first team honors. Farson and senior Kylie Davis were named to the second team, and first-year Hallie Krzys and sophomore Naomi Mann garnered honorable mentions.

This was the second consecutive Offensive Player of the Year honor for Wiley after claiming the award in the last full season in 2019. She also is the fourth Fighting Scot to earn the honor and the fourth overall player to claim it back-to-back.

Wiley posted career highs in points (29), goals (12) and added five assists after appearing and starting in all 20 games.

Wiley, Farson and Krzys were ranked in the top three in the conference in goals scored and points. Wiley's and Krzys's five assists tied for the conference lead.

Wiley's 13 points in conference games alone was an NCAC best, as was her six goals. Farson and Krzys each had three goals in conference games, tied for second with seven others.

Wiley also enjoyed her first hat trick this year in a 4-2 win against Wittenberg University (Oct. 16), which also earned her NCAC Athlete of the Week honors.

The junior Farson (Wadsworth, Ohio) saw her first collegiate action this year and made an immediate impact on the offensive end. She appeared in all 20 games and finished with 26 points, 11 goals and four assists. She hit two game winners and earned NCAC Athlete of the Week honors on Sept. 27.

Farson is the first Newcomer of the Year for Wooster since 2006 when Winnie Adrien won the award.

Krzys (Berea, Ohio) finished with 21 points, eight goals and five assists. She started all but the first two games of the season and scored two goals twice in a game (Sept. 8 and Oct. 12), which both resulted in game winners. Her three game winners topped the team.

Davis (Berea, Ohio) earned second team honors leading the midfield for the Scots. A transfer from Hiram College, she joined the team as a junior and saw her first official playing time as a Fighting Scot this year.

Finally, Mann (Carmel, Ind.) joined Davis for the first time on the midfield line. She scored two goals on the year, including the game-winner against Mount Union (Sept. 22). She also added three assists for seven points.

Wooster finished the year 10-8-2 and ended its year with a 3-2 loss to Wittenberg in the NCAC Tournament Championship.
