Mann Headlines Five Wooster Selections for All-NCAC Team

Official NCAC Release

The North Coast Athletic Conference released its All-NCAC teams on Wednesday as senior Naomi Mann led a selection of five Scots to make the teams.

Mann was Wooster's lone first team selection, while Wooster garnered two spots on each the second and third teams. Senior Mary Sirois and junior Hallie Krzys were named to the second team, and senior Grace Gascoigne and junior Lily Glaza were named third team.

Mann was first on the team and second in the conference with 24 points and 10 goals. In conference only games, Mann was tied for second with three goals.

A 2021 honorable mention, Mann led a Wooster offense who tallied a conference-high 36 goals scored across all its games. In a highlight of the season, she scored twice in back-to-back games in a pair of non-conference wins.

Mann also hit two game winners and went 4-for-4 on penalty kick opportunities.

Krzys was third on the team with 15 points and five goals but led with a team-high five assists. Of note, the junior recorded a point in five straight games, which included the first four NCAC contests.

Krzys is now a three-time All-NCAC selection, having been named to the first team last year and being an honorable mention in 2021.

Sirois becomes a first-time honoree, having led the backfield that allowed a conference low 14 goals on the year. The senior also scored her first career goal against Ohio Wesleyan University on Oct. 21.

A first-time selection, Glaza joined Sirois in the backfield but still found herself in the top five of the team in points (9) and goals scored (3). The throw-in specialist also added three assists on the year.

Finally, Gascoigne is another first-time honoree, having finished second on the team with 16 points and six goals. Her four assists also tied her with Mann for second on the team.

Gascoigne won Wooster's only Athlete of the Week award in women's soccer, after a week in which she tallied two goals and one assist in two games played.

Gascoigne scored in back-to-back games twice this year and tied Mann with a team-high two game winning goals.

Wooster finished the overall season 11-3-3 and in fifth place in the NCAC at 3-3-1.
