The College of Wooster women's soccer team defeated Baldwin Wallace University 1-0 on Wednesday.
Despite the score, Wooster was well in control for most of the game in terms of possession and shots. Wooster took 26 shots to Baldwin Wallace's six.
The goal that got through happened in the 19th minute when Bailey Farrell found Bella Crompton for the game winner. It was Crompton's first goal of the season and Farrell's first assist of the year.
Baldwin Walace (5-5) did not have too many chances but had a key opportunity knocked away in the second half when Mia Stoller disrupted a head-on shot in front of the Wooster goal.
The defense aided junior goalkeeper Kameryn Nelson all game long, who needed just one save to collect the win.
Her counterpart, Katie Scott, had quite the game, making 14 saves.
Wooster (5-1-2) won last year's contest 3-2 and holds the all-time series lead at 8-2-2.
Wooster's next game will again be at Carl Dale Field. They face John Carroll University on Saturday in the second game of a men/women doubleheader.
