Krzys Named NCAC Athlete of the Week
Senior scored twice and assisted on game-winning goal
Senior Hallie Krzys was named the North Coast Athletic Conference women's soccer Athlete of the Week after guiding The College of Wooster to a 3-2 win over John Carroll University on Saturday.
It is the senior's first athlete of the week honor.
Krzys was involved in all three of Wooster's goals in defeating the Blue Streaks, who reached the quarterfinalls of the NCAA DIII Championships last season. After scoring the first two goals, she assisted on classmate Alyssa Lubba's game winning goal with just 1:42 remaining on the clock.
Krzys scored the first goal just 2:20 into the game. Later in the second half, she tied the game at 2-2 with a penalty kick score.
Krzys is now at four goals on the year and 25 goals in her career, which puts her in a tie for eighth all-time in program history.
