NEW CONCORD – The College of Wooster women's soccer team won its fourth straight, wrapping up its non-conference schedule with a 5-0 win over Muskingum University on Tuesday.
Senior Hallie Krzys, recently named the North Coast Athletic Conference women's soccer Athlete of the Week, continued her strong play scoring the team's second goal and assisting on the first.
The honor of scoring the game winner went to sophomore Bella Crompton, who scored in the 12th minute.
The Scots did not open the game up until the second half, and it started with Krzys's goal in the 54th minute, which was assisted by senior Alyssa Lubba.
Wooster had the sister connection to make it 3-0 as Abby Henegar found Annie Henegar for the score in the 71st minute.
Less than 10 minutes later, Annie scored again for her second multi-goal game of the season. Her seven goals leads the team.
To put the cherry on top, junior Libby Kiker had a strike from about 20 yards out in the 85th minute for her first collegiate score.
Wooster outshot Muskingum (3-5) 20-5. Starting goalkeeper Kameryn Nelson got the win, while sophomore Lucy Carlin played the final 10:16. Neither needed a save in their efforts.
Wooster improves to 7-1-2. They open NCAC play Saturday when they host Kenyon College.
