Five Named All-NCAC
Krzys, Lubba, Farrell, Glaza and Henegar recognized by conference office
The College of Wooster women's soccer team had five student-athletes earn spots on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, as announced by the conference office on Thursday.
Hallie Krzys and Alyssa Lubba were named to the first team; Bailey Farrell was a second team recipient, and Lily Glaza and Annie Henegar were third team honorees.
The senior Krzys etched herself in the program's record books after a 17-point season, which included five goals and a conference-high seven assists. Over her career, her 70 points and 26 goals are tied for seventh in program history, while her 18 assists put her in a tie for sixth.
Krzys is now a four-time All-NCAC recipient and earns the first team honor for the second time. She is the eighth Fighting Scot to be named All-NCAC in each of her four years and the first since 2015 (Lauren Hancher).
Lubba returned to the Scots to earn first team honors behind a nine-point season of four goals and one assist. Each of her goals ended up as game winners.
Lubba scored twice in conference play, tied for the team lead with Abby Henegar.
Playing midfield and in the backfield, Farrell tallied three points on the year, including a goal in the season opening win against Earlham College.
One of the leaders of the backfield, Glaza also tallied three points, scoring in a 3-2 win at Marietta College. Defensively, Wooster allowed about half (16) of what they scored (30) this season, allowing .89 goals per game.
Finally, Henegar led the team with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. She was second in the conference in goals scored with highlights being a three-goal game versus Franciscan University of Steubenville and a two-goal game versus Muskingum University.
Glaza earned third team honors in 2023 as well. Lubba, Farrell and Henegar are first time honorees.
Wooster capped its year with an 11-4-3 record and a spot in the NCAC Tournament.
