The College of Wooster fell to Oberlin College in a North Coast
Athletic Conference East Division match-up by a score of 9-0
Wednesday at Wooster's D.J. Hard Memorial Courts.
After winning just five games combined in the doubles matches,
Wooster (3-10, 0-2 NCAC East) played several close sets in the
singles competition. Putting up the biggest fight was freshman Boo
Flynn, who at No. 5 singles, extended her opponent to a 9-7
tiebreaker in the first set before falling 6-4 in the second. Also
of note, Ashley Stockwell, another first-year for the Scots, won
six games at No. 2 singles, pushing her foe to a 6-2, 6-4
decision.
Wooster will be right back on the courts Thursday for a home match
with Heidelberg College (2-2) at 4 p.m.
