In a preview of an upcoming North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal match-up, DenisonDenison University, the No. 5 ranked women's tennis team in NCAA Div. III, was too much for host College of Wooster on Tuesday, as the Big Red prevailed 9-0 in the regular season finale.

First, Denison (13-4) swept the doubles competition with Ashley Stockwell and Boo Flynn putting up the most resistance for Wooster (4-14) at the No. 2 position with an 8-6 setback.

The Fighting Scots were more competitive overall during the singles, as four different players extended their opponents to at least nine games in a set. Flynn recorded the best result, pushing the Big Red's No. 4 to 7-5 in the first set before succumbing 6-2 in the second.

The two teams are slated to play again this Friday morning at the NCAC tourney in Granville, Ohio.
